With a substantive order from a national retailer Finch Haven Orchards has expanded its woodworking shop to include “apple crates” – see APPLE CRATES. We have been producing a high quality apple harvest bin for five years and the opportunity to expand into apple crates is a natural extension of that business. We also produce many other wood items to satisfy the retail/display market.

Big Grill Catering owned and operated by Kevin Finch had the honour of winning the Clarksburg Thornbury National BBQ Championship "Smokin' for Gold" a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event for BBQ chicken.

KCBS, the world’s largest organization of barbeque and grilling enthusiasts sanctions nearly 300 contests across the U.S. and has more than 14,000 members worldwide. The KCBS sanctions a BBQ competition by providing the most respected form of judging and scoring in the world of BBQ.

Meanwhile, Big Grill Catering also came fifth in the 27th annual Thornbury Clarksburg Rotary Chili Cookoff. This new event incorporates one of the region’s great culinary traditions. The same traditional rules and regulations will be in force for all competitors, based on the world’s oldest annual competition, the original Terlingua International Frank X. Tolbert – Wick Fowler Memorial Championship Chili Cookoff in Terlingua, Texas.
